I have recently taken up running this year and took part in my first event in July, I wanted to set myself another challenge and have a goal that meant something to me, not just on a personal physical level but an emotional level too. Cancer affects so many lives and I experienced this recently when my father told me he had prostate cancer. I was absolutely devastated and thankfully he is through the disease and fighting fit. Charities like prostate cymru are vital for raising awareness, procuring equipment and fighting this disease. If my dad didn't have the support and wouldn't have caught this early then he wouldn't be here today. Whilst this story has a happy result with my pops getting the all clear there are many that don't, so I want to help make a change by starting with hitting my target. Every donation will be so gratefully appreciated and every penny will push me through the hard yards on the day of the race and get me to the finish line; in gratitude to everyone that supports this wonderful charity!!!
