I am running the Great North Run on September 20th 2009. I have decided to run for the Lakelands Hospice in Corby. Some of you may remember that I ran the Great South Run a couple of years ago. I did this for Cancer Research. So this time I really wanted to raise money for a local cancer charity,  This is why I decided upon Lakelands as it does not get any government funding and solely relies on donations and it is a fantastic local hospice.

I have picked a cancer charity as my family has been hugely affected by losing loved ones to cancer. Mainly I want to do this run in memory of my Grandad- Tom Morrison. This is because he would be so shocked to see me running as I was an overweight teenager when he died that never did any exercise!
