In 2010 my Nephew Philip was knocked down whilst crossing the road going home for tea. He was transfered to Manchester children's hospital, where they worked very hard to try to save him but sadly he passed away on the 23rd March 2010 aged 9.
We are so greatful to all the staff at the hospital for their efforts that i feel i need to try and give something back and none of us know if or when we may need their help again.
The Charity supports projects which aim to make life a little easier
for their young patients and their families, particularly when they
have long or frequent stays in hospital.They do this through projects like creating a more child-friendly hospital environment, or providing highly specialised equipment to improve diagnosis and treatment
of children. They also support research projects to improve
the understanding of children’s illnesses.The support that Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital provides can help families to stay together and support one another during what can be a very difficult time for them.
i ran in this event last year and you were all great with your sponsors I raised a total of £339. Hopefully I can get a little more this year for this worthy cause.
