Team: Remembering Laura Baxter
Laura "Dora" Baxter unfortunately lost her battle with a very rare form of cancer of the appendix after a strong fight over 2 years of her short life.
The W.A.R race is a tough 10k run across Dunstable Downs including unique obstacles such as barbed wire crawls, zip wires, slides and tunnels, up hills and over muddy terrain.
The reason behind going for the W.A.R race is because this is exactly what she would have done! After being told she had just a few months left to live, she arranged various events, one of which was very similar to the Warrior Adrenaline Race, to raise money to get the operation she so desperately needed in Belgium.
To her amazement, within a week and a half she had already raised £25,000!!
Laura sadly lost the fight only weeks before the operation which could have potentially saved her life.
So in extreme loving memory of someone I see as my guardian angel, I am raising money for a fantastic charity, Pseudomyxoma Survivors, to help benefit those still fighting.
Please take your time to read about this amazing person...
