Swansea Bay 10k Run · 19 August 2008
Hello,
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On September 21st I ran the Swansea Bay 10k race to raise money for the Forest Holme specialist palliative care unit in Poole. This unit provided wonderful care to my late aunt Carol last year and in thanks to their support, I would like to give something back.
All I ask of you is a small donation of sponsorship, which will go towards enhancing patients lives at a very difficult time. Any donations, large or small are appreciated, it is the kind thought and sentiments that really count!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Friends Of Forest Holme gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
The race involved an undulating 10k course along the sea front at Swansea Bay. On the day, the race was made more challanging due to the unseasonably warm weather. Who would have thought that it would be hot and sunny in Wales in late September after a summer of rain? I managed to burn my face a lovely shade of pink and my legs will probably continue to ache for days to come! I am proud and relieved to have completed this challenge, but I still need your support.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks,
Michelle
