The Racehorse Sanctuary has a significant demand for safe riding horses. An essential part of the rehabilitation they provide for the ex-racehorses who come into their care is to switch off the impulse to win at all costs and to teach the horse to enjoy a very different ridden experience to racing. It is very important for them that when ready to be rehomed they can ensure the horses relationship with a new keeper gets off to the best start to ensure they bond for life. They put a lot of emphasis on matching horse and keeper to ease transition to the right new career for the horse, for whom the charity a duty of care for life. At Mulsey Farm they have a horse walker courtesy of the Peter OSullevan Charitable Trust and a small covered arena as well as various tracks, but what they desperately need for their rehabilitation work is an all-weather sand school. Please help raise the necessary £20,000 to make this happen.
