4 weeks to race day! No long run this weekend, Peter broke his arm so spent time in childrens ward instead! Sponsor sheets now going round, thanks to my fellow students, folks at Uni, pals on placement, friends and family for all your support, lots of donations, thank you! My favourite playlist suggestions this week - Weary Kind from film Crazy Heart, Running Free by Iron Maiden, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend by Miranda Lambert, Crazy Horses by The Osmonds and Let's Go Crazy by Prince. Loving the suggestions! Any problems with donating online or by text let me know and will pass a wee collection envelope your way!

Week 2 of training - still managing the gym before work despite insomnia, must be metabolism changing! Went for 6 mile run in sunshine yesterday, my boys on bikes next to me cheering me on. Took about 80mins and I felt alright so well chuffed with myself. Knees are wrecked and blisters on my blisters! Sponser sheets on the rounds, thanks to everyone for support x

Week 1 - gym 3 times (before work with other sadists who go at 7am), long run round Stirling Uni (got a bit lost in the woods!), sorta stuck to diet (drug lunch pizza, mmm) but 4lbs lost and £119 raised, great start - thank you

Suggestions for Ipod playlist so far top 5:

Crazy - Gnarls Barkley, Crazy Nights - Kiss, Crazy - Seal, Bonkers - Dizzee Rascal, Live it Up - Mental as Anything

More suggestions please ....

If you don't know what I'm doing and why please read on for wee intro:

I finally complete my course training to be a Mental Health Nurse (RMN) in September and to help to celebrate I've set myself another wee challenge - my first half-marathon in Glasgow!  It will be like running from my house in Alloa to the University campus in Stirling where I have been studying .... and back again!!!

To encourage me to get my butt out of bed and into lycra every morning for training I hope to raise money for a local mental health charity.  Gaberston House is in Alloa and provides supported accomodation for people with mental health issues.  I've been on placement locally and know what a difference it makes.  It is run by Crossreach (Church of Scotland) and is a registered charity.

I've set an initial target of £200, a £1 for every 1lb I weighed at start of training.  I hope that as the donations go up my weight will do down!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks and please also think about coming on race day to cheer me on!
