Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

This page has been set up in memory of my late husband Matty Newall, who passed away on the 27th April 2008.  Matty was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in September 2007, 6 weeks after our 3rd child Scarlett was born. Initially Matty was only given a few months to live but through the chance given by The Christie to receive chemotherapy, Matty actually went on to live a further 6 months than expected.

The Christie do some amazing work day in day out through research and the care they provide. I would like to help raise as much money as possible to help them continue this work and I am grateful to all donations that are pledged.

The first three targets I set out to achieve have been smashed and this is not including all the other just giving pages out there supporting this cause (in total exceeding £185,000!!!)

2018 Saw....

The 6th Matty Newall Cocktail Ball held on the 12th May 2018 at The Chester Race Course. This was another huge success and raised over £17,000. Thank you to everyone who came and supported this event.

In addition, in June 2018 we were kindly given the opportunity to do the bucket collection after the races at Chester Race Course. It was a glorious day for weather and generosity and we raised over £3500

My big focus now is training for my second London Marathon, which  myself and Chris will be running together. The date for this, this year falls exactly 10 years to the day I ran my first and only London Marathon and is the day after what will mark the 11th anniversary of Matty passing away.  All four of our children will be coming to London to support us. Training is going mainly well but a few set backs to illness and ailments...I am 10 years older than when I first ran the marathon!

I would like to thank everyone for their support over the last 10 years. I could not have achieved half the things I have since Matty passed away without this.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: The Christie will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
