Over the first Bank Holiday weekend in May, myself  and my colleagues Howard Dodd, Greg Mercer, Les Rowlands and Chris Noble from EA Stephens, MDL Timber & PEC Packaging, who are all long time supporters of the NWTTBS are taking on the Coast to Coast cycle challenge. The challenge is to cycle from Whitehaven on the West Coast of Northern England to Tynemouth Harbour on the East. We will ride our bikes along approximately 145 miles of road, cycle paths and disused railway lines. The route itself is by no means an easy one with a mixture of short, steep climbs and some more prolonged ones too, luckily though we’ll take in some fantastic scenery along the way and overnight in some interesting boozers, where we will no doubt sink a few pints whilst attending to our various ailments !
