We're changing lives across Teesside by supporting people and families who've been affected by a terminal illness. We help them to make the most of every day, ensuring they receive the best possible care by creating experiences and memories that last a lifetime. Thank you for your support.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My boyfriend Mike died last year, the care he received at Teesside Hospice was outstanding. I would like to raise as much money as possible for this great cause.....

...Teesside Hospice based in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, was established in 1982 to enhance the lives of local people suffering from advanced cancer and other life limiting illnesses. The Hospice cares for over 3,000 individuals in the Teesside region. All services are provided free of charge.

The majority of care to patients, families and carers focuses upon pain and symptom control, but we also provide respite admissions. Our range of specialist care services include:

10 beds for inpatient care
 Edward and Glenis Guy Day Care Centre facilitating 16 guests per day
 Adult Bereavement Counselling
 ‘Forget-Me-Not’ Children’s Bereavement Counselling
      Regular outpatient clinics
        Lymphoedema clinics
       Home and hospital visits
     Working in partnership with Specialist Nurses

Most people are surprised to learn that our annual running costs are in excess of £2.4 million. We receive in the region of one third of these costs from the local NHS and must therefore raise approximately £4,900 each and every day of the year from our own resources, most of which is generated by the activities of our Trading Company.
