Story
My name is Micky Simpson; I am the current
Fan on the Board at Millwall Football Club.
In my role over the past year, I’ve worked with lots of local charities to raise money and profile, through social media and our fans sponsorship deals – all made possible through the support of the fantastic fan base that Millwall Football Club has.
Well, now the Southwark Mayor’s team have been able to offer me a spot in this year’s London Marathon. It’s my turn to lose a few pounds, get fit and run my socks off though this great city of ours, to raise money for one charity that’s very close to the Millwall community; The Southwark Pensioners Centre. It’s a great charity, and I feel privileged to pledge my support to them.
I am aiming to post training updates – there are a number of local athletes that are keen to get me in the gym with their teams, and hurt me in the name of sport 😁
Please, if you can spare a pound or two to pledge your support too, I would be really thankful. Remember, the more money raised means the less opportunity I have to back out of this mammoth challenge! Just kidding!!
Please share my link, and I’d love to see anyone that might be able to come and cheer me on along the way, on 22nd April.
Please wish me luck……………what have I done……….! 😂😂.
