Singer/songwriter MIKA turns 35 on 18th August 2018. To celebrate this occasion, Mika Fan Club is making a donation to the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in Mika's name along with sending him a gift.
For the past several years, Mika has actively supported the UNHCR's efforts to protect the rights of refugees and to provide assistance to those who have been forcibly displaced. In December 2015, Mika visited Lebanon to see the plight of Syrian refugees in that country first-hand, and in November 2017 Mika was the featured speaker at a UNHCR fundraising gala in Milan.
The international fan community of Mika Fan Club, which, like the UNHCR transcends country borders, has taken Mika's cause to heart and is joining him in helping to raise funds for and awareness of the UNHCR. Last year, 16.2 million people were newly driven from their homes. That’s 44,400 each day, or 1 every 2 seconds.
