This iconic 10k race is a fantastic opportunity to take in some of Londons most impressive sights, including St Pauls Cathedral, Big Ben and Nelson's Column, and a great distance for new and experienced runners alike.

Story

I am running this 10k race for my sister Tally, who contracted bacterial meningitis when she was just 1 years old (also known as meningococcal disease).

Meningitis causes inflammation of the brain lining and spinal cord, which can be life-threatening. It can also lead to further, life-long complications such as brain damage, seizures and behaviour problems. Some survivors even have to amputate their limbs, but Tally was able to survive this.

I am so grateful she is in our lives - it wouldn't be the same without her and we are so proud of her and all that she has achieved. However, some people aren't as lucky as us, so I'd like to do this in hope that other families get the support we had, as well as a better chance of survival.

I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far - we've managed to reach my goal of £500. If you could keep supporting me in the last month leading up to this run, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you,

Mik x
