Our first baby Lochlan was born very prematurely at 29 weeks, it was a worrying and stressful time, there were many ups and downs as we went through the stress of learning he'd had a bleed on his brain, and sepsis. Lochlan had many breathing issues and struggled to regulate his temperature for a long time. However this stressful time was was made easier with help from Bliss. They provided me with information of what to expect and how to deal with some of the unexpected difficulties having a premature baby brings. In particular what helped me was having information on breastfeeding and coping with reflux and even dealing with things later on once we were home like weaning a premature baby. It was invaluable as this information was not always easy to access in the regular way but I was able to use their helplines and information booklets and I felt so much better prepared and it helped me focus on caring for my poorly baby as I felt confident with the information I had. 

When I became pregnant with our second baby, I was extremely anxious about having another premature baby but the support from Bliss once again, helped me through my pregnancy as I was able to use their parent forum and website for reassurance. Thankfully our second baby was born a bit later at 36 weeks but he still required special care and once again the information Bliss provided at this time was so helpful to us and I am so grateful to have received it.
