Fundraising for Blood Cancer UK

I am one of the lucky 100 Weekend Warriors lining up on the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd of June to not only challenge myself but also raise some money for the Bloodwise charity. My aim is to complete at least 7 triathlons over the weekend and this will test both my physical and mental endurance. I will dig deep when it hurts knowing that I can make a small difference.
Any donation towards my efforts would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to Bloodwise in it's fight against blood cancer. Bloodwise do not receive any government funding and so every penny they spend on research and support comes from charitable donations. Right now there are more than 230,000 people in the UK living with blood cancer, the 5th most common cancer and the third biggest cancer killer.
Last year I took part in the Bloodwise Blenheim Palace Triathlon for the second time, and cheered Kate as she completed her first triathlon. It was a truly humbling and awe inspiring event in equal measures. The event raises much needed funds for Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research) who fight tirelessly to find a cure for blood cancer.
One of my lasting memories from last year was watching a Weekend Warrior starting his 8th triathlon of the weekend. A Weekend Warrior competes to finish the sprint course (750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run) as many times as possible over the duration of the weekend event. Kate turned to me and saw the glint in my eye and knew at that moment that I would do everything in my power to be at the starting line for 2018. And so 12 months later here I am!
