BUPA Great North Run 2010 · 19 September 2010 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Once again I'm running the Great North Run for Alzheimers and Mike Mills. I'm still no runner, wrong shape and legs too short. I am competing against my old friend Bill Francis (yes, competing - he beat me last year, but my training was poor, so this year I am planning to do some training).

The picture is Bill and myself prior to the 2008 run, in which I did beat Bill !!! Fortunately no pictures after the event.

I'm running this year in aid of Alzheimers, in memory of a good friend and neighbour from Poulton - Mike Mills, who we all sadly miss, particular on a Friday night.

Any donation gratefully received.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks for supporting me and the charity.
