Eating disorders can be devastating to sufferers and their families. They are serious mental illnesses which are still not understood well at all. Whilst many sufferers recover or at least partially recover, Anorexia Nervosa carries the highest mortality rate of any mental health disorder and still has no known "cure". I am running to support BEAT, the UK's Eating Disorder Charity who are doing great work in this area and have been an important support to our family over the past few years as we have been going through this painful and traumatic experience at close hand.
