Thanks very much for taking the time to visit this page – very much appreciated!  A number of people from the village where I live up in are associated with this charity ‘Deafway’ and have been on these Himalayan Trek Challenges before.  The pictures and particularly the stories (not just of the treks, but also of the exciting and worthwhile work of Deafway for the deaf people of ) of past experiences made me say ‘well, why not?!’ when this trek first came up.  And here I am, training hard to do some pretty challenging trekking (particularly for me and my limited experience!) to heights of about 12,000 ft, for about 6 hours a day in some of the most beautiful parts of the world….and also one of the poorest.  We fly out on the 5^th March 2010, and back to the on the 15^th March, with trekking on about 6 of those days.  The trek is funded entirely by myself, with a pledge to raise at least £500 to support Deafway projects, in the and .  Thanks in advance for anything you feel you can give.
