Kangaroos is a registered disability charity based in Mid Sussex providing a range of fun, inclusive social and leisure activities all year round for children and young adults with learning disabilities and additional needs. Bringing colour to the lives of people with learning disabilities

Story

Myself and a team of guys and girls from Artemis Marketing are supporting and fundraising this year for a local charity, Kangaroos.

I’m going to be riding 74 miles which is further than I’ve ever ridden before and with 6 months of no cycling really at all there’s a lot of practice and hard work ahead.

Kangaroos is a charity that delivers FUN and SOCIAL activities in a supported setting for young people with learning disabilities across Mid Sussex.

For those attending the Kangaroos clubs and outings there are many benefits, including maintaining and building friendships, promoting self-esteem and confidence, improving social skills and gaining independence from their families. The charity is a lifeline for many families supporting a family member with complex needs.

With the ongoing threat of funding cuts, now more than ever, Kangaroos needs your support.

As a company Artemis hope to be involved in a few fund raising events over the course of the year. The Haywards Heath Bike Ride is our first opportunity to raise money for this fantastic charity.

I can't express enough the superb work this charity does, and having spoken to some of the parents whose children attend the clubs, I now know just how much the charity means to the families accessing these much-needed services.

Please give generously if you can. I would love to be able to raise £2000 on my own through sponsorship for the bike ride. As a team we are hoping to raise £4000 for the charity, which I know will make a real difference.

Thank you so much for your contribution.
