London Landmarks Half Marathon 2019 · 24 March 2019 ·
I am raising money for the RSPCA by running a half marathon.
In recent years I've really let myself go, so the physical challenge is quite a big one for me. I've now lost nearly three stone and have dedicated myself to the diet and training. I've had quite a few injury problems which have got me down, but I'm keeping on going!
My wife Lisa has worked for the RSPCA for 12 years as an Inspector. A lot of people won't realise the work that the charity does, particularly the danger the Inspectors, like Lisa, put themselves in as they tackle animal cruelty.
She does it because she genuinely cares about the animals and wants to protect them from the awful things that she has to see, things I couldn't deal with.
The dog in my picture is called biscuit, she recently joined our family. Lisa rescued biscuit and seeing/hearing about how she did this really brought it home to me about what the RSPCA does. I've pasted the story about this below, the images are quite upsetting just to warn you, so you may not want to see.

The RSPCA are wholly funded by donations and simply don't have enough resources.
This is why im running this half marathon to raise funds so she and her colleagues can continue to help in the best way they can.
If you are in a position to support me with a donation, not matter how small, I would really appreciate it. X
