Story
After a year of Covid and several months of lockdown I've realised that despite the challenges we have all experienced, my family and pretty much all of my friends, are still in decent shape mentally, physically and financially. Yes there is no denying its been a struggle, however we are privileged to have been able to 'weather the storm.
So myself and 3 mates (Andy Cowan, Steve Baker & Jason Obee) have decided to put ourselves through an arduous 100KM walk across the undulating hills of the South Downs, which all of us must complete in under 30 hours!!! We are heading off as a team cunningly called the 'The Kill-O-Metres'
We want to raise a minimum of £1,000 between us (MINIMUM) so your donations will be gratefully received and will make a significant difference to so many people's lives.
Many thanks for clicking on my page.

YMCA East Surrey has a long history of helping families and children in need. As we slowly come out of lockdown and the challenges this is bringing, it is becoming clear that these children and their families need our support more than ever.To ensure we help families the best we can, we are raising money for our 1000 Days of Play Fund, a YMCA initiative to give completely free Wraparound and Holiday Childcare provision for local families in need during the school holidays and when the challenging new term starts. We are hoping that thanks to your generosity we will be able raise £30,000 by the end of the year to cover the costs of 1000 free Wraparound and Holiday Childcare days which will be available to families who need additional support or suffering from financial hardship. Money from this fund will help families as they come out of lockdown and attempt to go back to work to ensure bills are paid and families are fed.
