It is with much sadness that we write this letter to let you know that Mike Waddington passed away, after a six year battle with Lung cancer and leukemia , quietly and peacefully at home with his family around him. He brought great joy to us all and his quick wit and classic one liners will for ever stay in our hearts. We realise that a lot of our stockists had a special relationship with Mike, he loved you all and worked tirelessly to keep the bridal industry together and was always available with practical help and advice to any one who needed it.
As a family we have nothing but admiration for the NHS and the way they tirelessly looked after Mike during his illness over the last six years and especially in the last few months, but there will be a place in our hearts and memories for the kind, compassionate, caring and tireless help we had from the Marie Curie nurses with special thanks to Sue and Kym who made Mikes last few days incredibly peaceful and dignified. Because Marie Curie are a charitable organisation we would like to offer them our support, through donations via this page, set up in his memory.
