On June 2nd 2023 the four of us will be doing the National Three Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon within 24 hours) to raise money for Mind Body Connect (MBC).

MBC is a Sheffield based non-profit charity. Our remit is to empower marginalised groups via physical exercise. We work with recovering addicts, survivors of human trafficking, people in remission from cancer, and mental health referrals. We

One group MBC facilitate are weekly Mixed Martial Arts classes for homeless, or at risk of homelessness, individuals by working with multiple Sheffield homelessness services. These classes occur at a fully equipped MMA studio, with a highly qualified coach and all equipment/gear is provided.

For people whose lives are embroiled in chaos, the Mixed Martial Arts classes have been a constant feature where they are empowered to take charge of their own growth and make real change. Through physical activity they realise their potential and develop the resilience to better deal with life's challenges. The feedback has been universally positive and we have seen some incredible achievements.

£35 covers the cost of a single MMA class. Any donations will contribute towards the continuation of MBC's classes, but also create the opportunity for us to expand and empower more marginalised individuals/groups using physical exercise and sport as vehicles for
change.
