Story

Hi there and thanks for visiting my fund raising page.

OK - I thought my days of charging round mountains were over but then I was asked to participate in the 4 Peaks Challenge and..... well, if you know me, you know I can't resist an endurance event!

What is the 4 Peaks Challenge? Starting on Thursday 26th June it sees teams of 4 people given 48 hours to scale the 4 highest mountains in the British Isles. Ben Nevis in Scotland, Caranthouill in Ireland, Snowdon in Wales and Helvellyn in England (OK - this isn't quite the highest but it almost is!) Lots of hiking and lots of driving!

Trouble is the old bod's getting a bit long in the tooth for this sort of thing so I've set myself a target of £1000 to give my heart, lungs and limbs a bit of an incentive to keep going when I know the rational part of my brain is telling the rest of me to STOP!!!

I will be grateful for any contributions you can make - Wooden Spoon does great work in support of disadvantaged children, so please dig deep and sponsor me to achieve my goal.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wooden Spoon gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and for you support.
