Ok, I've been meaning to get off my backside now and do something for this great charity for a couple of years now - in a moment (or should that be two) of madness myself and Adrian have signed up for the Dark Peak Challenge - which is basically a 42 mile cross country bike ride. For those of you who know the (stunning) peaks we start at Lady bower reservoir and the first six miles is a climb up Snake Pass. This may be fun in the Westfield, i'm not so sure it will be by pedal power.
Anyway, I digress...... The BHF is a charity we have supported ever since our daughter Niamh underwent heart surgery. We are very fortunate that she is now fit and healthy and is as much of a madam as any other 2 year old! The experience opened our eyes to a lot - and seeing other families going through their own traumas makes you realise how precious life is and how common heart complaints are. Much progress has been made, but with our help and support we can hopefully ensure that this continues so that other families have an outcome like ours.
