Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to set myself a challenge which will test me mentally and physically before I reach the grand old age of 60 in October this year. On the 6th September 2018 I am setting off with Action Challenge to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. This is the highest mountain in Africa, 4,900 metres from its base and 5,895 metres above sea level. We will be following the Lemosho route following in the footsteps of the celebrity Comic Relief trekkers.

I will be self funding the £1279 cost of the trek as well as giving money to the BHF. Therefore ALL money raised through your sponsorship will go to The British Heart Foundation.

The BHF  was founded in 1961. It is the largest independent funder of cardiovascular research. Heart disease is on the increase and vital research is needed. Every pound raised will help to make a massive difference to people's lives.

I intend raising as much as I can for the charity, but the minimum I hope to raise is £2,575. I’m hoping that with a lot of effort on my part, this figure will greatly increase.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate they will send your money directly to the charity.

Thank you for reading my page, and thank you in advance for your generosity.

Mike.
