Daniel's Mile per day for 365 days

Mile per day for 365 days · 1 January 2021
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I appreciate your support and I hope you follow my journey as explained below.
I have set myself a goal for 2021 which I am going to commit to doing to raise money for a charity called Lancashire Mind.
The goal: Run at least one mile per day, every day, for the whole year.
Firstly let me start by saying I’m not a fan of running unless it involves a football at my feet!
I am going to run at least 1 mile each and every day for 365 days. To be clear, if I run three miles on a Tuesday, that does not mean I can take Wednesday and Thursday off. I am committed to running at least a mile Every Single Day. So over the year, I would be running at the very least 365 miles.
I am going to share the plan and journey on social media so my friends can hold me accountable and see my journey. My forfeit, £1,000 - should I fail, I'd lose one thousand pounds which I would donate to charity.
Depending on your level of fitness, 1 mile per day may sound a lot or it may sound a little. I get it, one mile isn't a lot in 1 go, but that was intentional. This isn’t about the distance or the run, it is about the consistency and no matter where I am going to be in the world, rain or shine, I am going to run.
I am going to carve 15 minutes out of each day for my health which is a win-win whilst also raising as much as possible for charity.
So, no matter what is going on in my life at the time, I will run every day. That is the main challenge considering I have holidays booked and I play a lot of sports which comes with injuries ( I also have a dodgy knee which makes this task harder)
I hope you can enjoy the journey I am taking and hopefully you can spare some money to help the much-needed causes I am raising money for. Worst case scenario, I fail and the charities get my £1,000.
I am raising money for Lancashire Mind, which is an amazing charity helping those with mental health problems. Due to the tough year its been for everybody, I feel this is the most worthy cause for me to help as so many people are suffering.
I have learnt so much over the past few years about fitness and mental health and I want to show people that small things each day can help so much with regards to exercise and your mental wellbeing.
