Miles in Their Shoes · 25 June 2020 to 31 August 2020 ·

We support vulnerable kids in Uganda by providing for both their immediate needs and strengthening their futures through educating, feeding, protecting, and skilling. Our vision is to see children’s lives transformed, communities empowered and poverty reduced throughout Uganda.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are 6 ladies who have joined a challenge to walk, cycle and run the distance from here to Uganda along with a bigger team. We 5 will be completing 1600 miles in total over a 10 week period.

Why?

  1. -Kids in the slums of Kampala face overwhelming difficulties  because of poverty
  2. -Families often live on just one meal a day and can not afford to send their children to school
  3. -Covid-19 and the lockdown has meant that families cannot work and have lost their small incomes overnight.
  4. -Kids Club Kampala have been running food banks to help keep these children and families fed.
  5. -We are raising funds for Kids Club Kampala as they support thousands of children in the slums.

Each of us is aiming to raise €300 from our own networks and friends. We really appreciate any of your support especially at this uncertain time for everyone.
