Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!
This spring, the team at CBM are embarking on a 12-week Miles to Malawi Challenge, throughout the See the Way appeal. As a team, we’re going walk, run, cycle, swim, roller blade…maybe…., as much as possible per day, with the goal of reaching 6,762 miles - before the 12th May.
This mileage represents the distance between the CBM UK office in Cambridgeshire and our partner, the Nkhoma Eye Hospital in Malawi, southern Africa. We are completing this challenge to acknowledge the great lengths many people in Malawi go to in order to have their sight restored.
From 12th February – 12th May 2020, the UK government will double all public donations to our See the Way appeal up to £2 million. So every pound given or raised has double the impact – it could fund twice as many sight-saving surgeries, pairs of glasses or eye-health outreach activities in the world’s poorest places.
Your support will help people See the Way to a brighter future. CBM's new programme in Malawi will improve awareness of and access to high-quality, inclusive eye care, transforming the lives of people who might otherwise miss out on treatment. Your support will mean more people can see their loved ones, can go to school, read and write, get around safely and support themselves and their families.
Public donations will support CBM’s work preventing blindness and transforming lives wherever the need is greatest. Match funding from the UK government will improve access to sight-saving eye-health services in Malawi.
Thank you for your support!
