Story
Please take a minute to read my JustGiving page, I really want this fundraiser to make a difference!
Last June Lisa was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma, a grade 4 brain cancer. In an instant her life and that of our family changed. Since diagnosis Lisa has endured two 10-hour brain surgeries, 6 weeks of radio therapy and is on the verge of finishing 6 months of chemotherapy. Sadly this is not a cure and at some stage it will return.
Brain tumours are on the increase, around 2% a year, yet little funding is allocated to brain cancers in the UK, the government currently allocates just 1% of its cancer funding to brain cancer.
I want to give Lisa the best support and help the Brain Tumour Charity continue their excellent work in funding research, reducing diagnosis times, raising awareness and aiding those suffering. To find out more about the charity, visit www.thebraintumourcharity.org
This time I am going all out to earn your donations. 189 miles is a long ride in one day (the longest I'll ever have attempted) with 13,000ft of climb it will be incredibly tough. If the weather is nice I'm even going to attempt it with a single speed bike (no gears!). To find out more about the event and view the route visit www.letapeuk.co.uk/wales/letape-wales/event-info/maps/
This is best way I could think of to show dedication to the cause, help do something positive for a very hard working charity and of course show Lisa that she and our lovely boys mean the world to me.
I do hope you'll get on board.......
