Story
At this time of year, I would usually be in training for the Great Manchester Run to raise money for Mind, the mental health charity. However, the run was cancelled in 2020 and has been delayed in 2021, like many other charity fundraising events.
This May, various members of my family and I are running or walking hundreds of miles to raise money for Mind. They have always provided advice and support to anyone with a mental health problem, but they need our help now more than ever.
As we start to feel the impact of coronavirus on our mental health, it is incredibly important that we take action now. Demand for Mind's vital support and services will grow, however many of their fundraising events have understandably been cancelled, and their shops have been closed for large parts of the past year.
By donating, you can help Mind to provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding, for example through their coronavirus information hub: www.mind.org.uk/information-support/coronavirus/ and helplines: www.mind.org.uk/information-support/helplines/
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
