Allison's Miles for Morven

Miles for Morven · 20 January 2018
In 2000 I adopted a tiny bundle of fluff and love from Cats Protection. She was named Morven and brought joy to my life every single day.
In late 2016 Morven was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, a condition common to older cats, which we managed through diet and daily medications. This was further complicated by the discovery of a mass in her small intestine in June of 2017. She was a determined little girl and fought bravely against every health issue until she reached the end of her journey in January 2018.
For over 17 years Morven was my best friend. She was a loyal and loving cat, by my side through life's ups & downs, and I dedicated myself to ensuring she maintained her quality of life throughout her health battles - if she needed treatment, she got it. No questions.
Sadly not every cat is as fortunate and the thought of a cat without a loving fur-ever home breaks my heart. So in memory of Morven and to help as many cats as I can to have a happy life like hers, I'm using my running adventures in 2018 to raise funds for the Perth branch of Cats Protection.
