The reason this charity and event is so important to me, is because not long ago I was assaulted and harassed on the train on my way to school. I never want anybody to go through this and I can’t imagine how hard it it must be for girls who have been through worse. I chose the RSVP because every donation they receive ensures that they can be there, to provide compassionate, specialist support for every survivor that needs them. This is a very important cause for me because of how personal it is and also I feel it allows me to turn a negative experience into something positive.

I was hesitant about doing this because I didn’t want to draw attention to myself, but I realised if we’re ever going to turn the tide against sexual assault against women/girls, then as many victims as possible need to tell their story and make sure the pressure is kept up on society to do something to stop these crimes.

I am going to attempt to swim 1,000 meters on the 3rd of July at St Helens swimming pool and maybe go even further and all your encouragement and donations are so special to me and I want to thank every one of you who has donated.
