Millie was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) on 3 July 2020. She’d just returned to YR after a few months of lockdown and seemed a perfectly happy and healthy 5 year old. After a couple of weeks of high temperatures, a blood test revealed she had leukaemia and so this journey began...

Millie is currently having 4 rounds of chemotherapy at the Royal Marsden in Sutton. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to fund further research into childhood cancers, to support the amazing nurses and doctors treating children like Millie and to improve patient environments, including building the beautiful courtyard where Millie and I spend a lot of our time.
