ROSY (Respite Nursing for Oxfordshire's Sick Youngsters) operates under the umbrella of the Oxford Health Charity. ROSY provides additional respite care to Oxfordshire's sick youngsters in their own homes, born with life-limiting or chronic conditions and others who have developed these conditions.

Story

Hi - I am the third and youngest Minford sister to do a challenge with my Dad now I am 14 !

I am planning to walk the first 100 miles of the Thamespath from Thames Head Nr Cirencester to Henley in 4 days over the second May Bank Holiday.

Although it will be great to spend 4 whole days with my Dad (in addition to ‘quality time’ together during lockdown) the most important aim is to raise money for a worthy cause - Rosy.

Rosy is a local Oxfordshire charity funding the additional respite nursing care at home for children  with chronic, life- limiting or terminal illnesses. I really want to help them out as it is these smaller charities that have suffered over the last 12 months +.

However small, it would be great if you could donate to this amazing cause. I understand it is tough at this time but any donation would be wonderful.

The practice walks are underway and we clocked up a 20 - miler the other day, not sure if I will be able to put up with my Dad’s chat once the AirPods run out of charge !!!

We will post pics along the way so please look out for those !

Many thanks

Millie
