Yorkshire Three Peaks · 24 August 2017

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

On 24 August 2017 Katherine Davis, Leigh Jackson and Liam Turner will be lacing up their walking boots to complete the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge as part of the Bond Dickinson Million Makers Team's efforts to raise a minimum of £10,000 for The Prince's Trust.

The challenge will see the trio (hopefully) conquer the three highest peaks in Yorkshire: Pen-y-Ghent (691m/2270ft), Whernside (736m/2415ft) and Ingleborough (723m/2372ft).  The total walking distance is around 24 miles and will include over 1500m (5200ft) of ascent.  The aim is to reach the finish line in less than 12 hours!

Neither Kat, Leigh or Liam are seasoned walkers and so this is definitely going to be a challenge.
