Story

This year the Mills & Reeve Charity Challenge dares colleagues to take on the turbulent terrain of the Peak District!

We'll see one another hike, abseil, weasel, conquer crags and dodge rain clouds in support of two such deserving charities: Young Minds and the Disaster Emergency Committee's Ukraine Appeal.

We will also be running mini-challenges in each office from Monday 13 June! Look out for the email highlighting the various activities to get involved in.

Thank you for your generous donations!

The Charity Challenge Committee

Young Minds are leading the movement to make sure all young people can access the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what.

In 2020, YoungMinds launched their three-year strategy, ‘You Matter’,
with the purpose of stopping young people’s mental health reaching crisis point; the earlier young people can get the right help, the more likely it is that they can avoid it. Whether they need a reassuring conversation, specialist mental health support or simply the knowledge that they are not alone in how they are feeling, YoungMinds make sure all young people get support as quickly as possible through their three programmes: Never Alone, Someone to Turn To and Powerful Young Voices.

Disaster Emergency Committee are supporting 13 member charities and their local partners responding in Ukraine and in neighbouring countries.

The charities work to provide emergency aid, essential items like food, water and shelter for displaced families, and medical support including incubators for babies in Ukrainian hospitals. Donations support their vital protection work to ensure vulnerable people are kept safe, and helping them settle into their new lives.

DEC charities are experts in humanitarian relief with decades of responding to crises around the world.
