Morrisons Great Birmingham 10k 2015 · 3 May 2015 ·

We provide accommodation and a safe haven for victims of domestic violence. The vulnerable women arriving at the Centre come from all walks of life and those seeking refuge often arrive with nothing but the clothes they stand in. Our aim is to help restore confidence and give hope for the future

Story

On Sunday 3 May 2015, a 36-strong team of Mills & Reeve staff (many of whom have never run before) will run the Great Birmingham 10k in support of the Birmingham Crisis Centre.

The Birmingham Crisis Centre is a safe haven for victims of domestic violence in the local area that was set up in 1986. The aim of the Centre is to provide security and comfort for mothers and children who have suffered the trauma of physical and mental abuse and the expert staff spend a great deal of time counselling, advising and encouraging the residents.
