We promote neutering and animal welfare to improve the lives of animals

Charity Registration No. 702953

Millstream Animal Sanctuary is such an amazing place doing wonderful things for cats, dogs, rabbits & ferrets. I was lucky enough to adopt a beautiful cat called Shelly from Millstream a few years ago. It's manned by selfless volunteers and totally funded by donations alone.

On average it costs £800 a day to run Millstream.

They provide a safe home to abandoned animals who are taken care of and that includes veterinary treatment. The aim is that the animals can be re-homed and on the whole this is successful however it's always the kittens and younger animals that go first, so much so, Millstream has a number of resident cats who live on-site and can be seen roaming.

The lovely thing about Millstream is that animals who have long term illnesses won't be put to sleep, they can be re-homed too but Millstream pays for their long term medical bills.

You can even "adopt" an animal for £12 a year and receive a photo of the animal and an update every year on how they're getting on.

And the 2017 Millstream calendar is in stock now for £5.

So......myself and best friend Roxsan decided to do something to help Millstream for Christmas. What a better way then to show people round, so you can see the place for yourself - there's over 14,500 followers on the Facebook page, so where better to host this event than on Facebook Live!

Oh and about raising money! Obviously you can donate on this page but also there's a text number for anyone in the UK.

To donate by text:

Text "PURR77 £1" to 70070 if you want to donate £1.

Text "PURR77 £2" to 70070 if you want to donate £2.

Simply change the number to the amount you want to donate. And don't forget to agree to Gift Aid when you get your confirmation. All it means is that the UK government will give to the charity 25p for every £1 you donate.
