More than 70% of children placed for adoption today have been removed from their birth families due to abuse, neglect or inconsistent care. Adoption can provide a safe, permanent home for these children but many will require ongoing support to overcome the impact of their traumatic experiences. Adoptive families play a fundamental role in building brighter futures for society's most vulnerable children and Adoption UK exists to ensure these families get the information, support and advocacy they need. This year I'm helping Adoption UK to raise funds for their Winter Appeal, ensuring that all adoptive families receive the help and support they need.
