In temperatures of 30°C, 8 of us trekked from 7.00am to 7.00pm (9hrs 40 min walking time with stops) on a beautiful sunny but extremely hot day! 

Brief Background of Mina

I have completed the National 3 Peak Challenge, climbing Mt. Ben Nevis, Mt. Scafell Pike and Mt. Snowdon in 24 hours. I have trekked 14 days in the Himalayas in Nepal. I have also completed the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge (26 miles).

Background of El Shaddai

In 1997 it was formed as a Registered Charity in UK and India, by the joint founders, Pastor Matthew Kurian (Goa) and Anita Edgar (Devon, UK) who have provided loving care to 1000's of children. You can check details of their wonderful work on www.childrescue.net.

The cause which is dear to my heart is to raise much needed funds for El Shaddai. I have visited their school and homes in Assagao, Goa a few times where children excel in education until adulthood where they are are given opportunities to become creative and responsible adults in the wider world. The Charity also conduct regular Outreach Programmes for poor familes, women empowerment and food distribution.

Please remember to tick the Gift Aid box (if you are a taxpayer) so that the Charity can claim 25% from the HMRC to add to your donation.
