We are Solent Mind, Hampshire's leading mental health charity. We provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services and raise awareness. We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.

Story

Southampton University's Mind Society is a society who aim to raise awareness and campaign for Mental Health for young people. This pandemic has hit everyone hard, including university students who face many uncertainties about whether they can return to campus, how they will study or how exams will happen. With more people reaching out for support, it's more important now than ever that we all look out for each other and raise awareness of mental health. Mind Society has worked closely with Solent Mind over the past few years to raise money, and this year, a lot of fundraising hasn't been able to take place due to restrictions. So, we have teamed up with The Edge and Gaming Society (at Southampton University) to host a 12 hour Twitch Gaming event, to raise awareness of the mental health difficulties we face, whilst supporting the charity Solent Mind.
