Story
Our Mini Wings Kids are doing their part by taking part in a sponsored mile to help the staff raise extra funds which will go into helping to create a Wellbeing Centre that aims to help kids as well as adults who are struggling with mental health.
Via Wings staff are walking from Portrush to Dromore over 3 days ( 1st – 3rd July 2021) roughly 70 miles to raise awareness of mental health issues and raise funds for our much needed Wellbeing Centre.
Mental health is the single largest cause of ill health and disability in Northern Ireland and is likely to touch the lives of so many people you know. The scary fact is that children’s mental illness is also raising significantly, especially in this everchanging environment that we now living in. With the Covid-19 pandemic and social isolation that children have had to endure, many children are struggling with an emotional bubble that is just waiting to burst.
The mission at Via Wings is to be able to renovate a derelict building within Wellington House to create a Wellness Centre, available to everyone experiencing a mental health problem. We believe every single person fighting mental health should be able to access excellent care, services and be able to learn methods to help them manage and recover in a non-judgemental and practical way.
Please support our Mini Wings Kids. Thank You!
