Mini-Adventures through Lockdown · 20 November 2020

We support parents from Pre-Birth to a child's 11th year across a range of specialist services. Our services support some of the most vulnerable/disadvantaged families struggling with complex and multiple needs such as mental health, domestic abuse, learning difficulties, and substance misuse.

Story

Playing outside helps keeps young children healthy, and helps them learn too. Research has found that babies and toddlers from disadvantaged backgrounds missed out on outside play during the Spring 2020 lockdown, as playgrounds were shut and families without their own garden had limited options.

This Winter, families will be struggling again for places to go with their little ones. Wrapping up warm and dry, and going for an outdoor mini-adventure is a great way to keep a toddler entertained... but finding the extra cash for wet weather gear is a huge barrier when money is tight – especially when you know they'll have outgrown it by next year.

We want to help little ones get the outdoor play they need to thrive, whatever the weather this Winter. Your donation will help to distribute toddler wet weather gear to families who could not otherwise afford it.
