Story
As many of you know my dad had a kidney transplant a few weeks ago with a kidney donated by my amazing uncle. The operation was a major operation with high risk up at Guys hospital in London Bridge. It has been a tough few weeks with it being touch and go at a point but dad came out fighting and is now on his road to a 6 month recovery program. Whilst being up at the hosiptal you meet many people and I heard many stories and this is what has prompted me to help towards a good charity that helps both the patients and their families. I know my dad was very lucky to find a live donar which was my uncle but this i not always the case for all and some have to stay on dialysis for long periods of time and wait on a long donar list and its because of this that I feel that every bit of fundraising I can do to help out patients and their families in situations like we were in and help make a difference.
