We're a Christian aid and development agency, following Jesus to the places of greatest need to respond to disasters and help communities unlock their own potential to overcome poverty. We won't stop until poverty stops.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. As some of you know Miranda managed to run the Race for Life 5K last year, so have doubled my distance.  It's so exciting that Sarah and Pauline seasoned "Parish Walkers"  from the Isle of Man have put on their running shoes and are joining Miranda and others to run for Tearfund.   This is a huge challenge for us so we would love to raise a significant amount to give to the fantastic work Tearfund do with the world's poor. We love the way they work to empower communities to build sustainable solutions. Please encourage us in our training!!!

Tearfund is a Christian International relief and development agency working globally to end poverty and injustice, and to restore dignity and hope in some of the world' s poorest communities.

"We have a vision to see 50 million people released from material and spiritual poverty through a worldwide network of 100,000 local churches. We operate in more than 50 countries around the world."

Self-help groups in Ethiopia are helping people to save and trade their way to a better life.  £10 a month can provide the training that’s required to set up a group and start changing lives.

In Scotland our vision is to see 500 new self-help groups established in Ethiopia this year. Sign up and support a group today
