Goodwill Caravan are helping to keep refugees in Greece warm and safe this winter through distributing emergency supplies, and keeping families safe in shelter units. 

Today Greece has become something like a holding pen for people seeking asylum. There are over 50,000 refugees in Greece and with cramped living conditions in refugee camps, poor sanitation and limited medical care to address the prevalence of Covid-19, life in the camps will become perilous as winter approaches.

Out of the total refugees in Greece, over half are women and more than 3000 are travelling alone. GWC's main focus is helping unaccompanied minors and vulnerable families in detention centres or those at risk of human trafficking and organ harvesting. 

GWC particularly supports release from detention centres and offers safety in shelter units. They also provide legal support for orphans and vulnerable families who are seeking asylum in Europe through the 'Family Relocation Program' or ensures they are safely handed over to UNHCR housing.
