My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001, thankfully due to the amazing care and treatment that she recieved she made a full recovery and celebrated her 70th birthday last year. I have so many friends whose lives have been affect by breast cancer that when my friend Clare, whose partner Sue was recently  treated for breast cancer, suggested that I join Sue's fund raising group, The Big C, I did not hesitate. Now the hard work begins on my road to losing 23lbs by the end of August and running a 10k race by the end of the year!
