Get Me Out The Four Walls was created to ensure that no mother, father or carer feels alone and isolated at home after the birth of their children. By creating informal social meets, we aim to give as many people the opportunity to escape their house and meet others which we believe helps prevent the on-set of perinatal mental illnesses such as postnatal depression and helps aid stabilisation of mental health.
Due to the cost of living crisis, we are aware that many families are not only struggling to pay their basic bills but they are also unable to access recreational activities and community groups with their family meaning many are isolated and lonely. As much of our county is rural, many activities and community events require parents to travel with their children and this can be difficult for so many who don't have access to a car or funds for buses or taxis. All of our social meets and meets at our GMOTFW Hub in Lakenham are free to attend, however we would like to break down
