This summer, during the re-scheduled Euro2020 Championships, we're aiming to raise £25,000 by 11th July 2021 to establish a new FBB community hub to further build the programmes we deliver to support our amazing young people across the North West.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. FBB have welcomed me into their family since Freddie died and have given me such positivity in terrible circumstances.

Football Beyond Borders work tirelessly to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds make a successful transition into adulthood. The past year has been extremely tough for young people who’ve missed out not only on so many hours in school but spending precious time with their friends and family but FBB has supported thousands of young people to continue to develop throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

I’ve seen first-hand the amazing work that FBB do with young people and have met many of those who have taken part in FBB programmes. In memory of Freddie, I’d love for you all to join me this Bank Holiday weekend (29th, 30th, 31st May) in collectively covering 4,500 miles and raising over £4,500 for FBB.

Here’s how you can be involved:

1. Run, walk or cycle and tell us how far you've travelled by logging it on Strava (search for 4,500 mile challenge club) or emailing me on mirandaporritt@yahoo.co.uk

2. Donate a pound or whatever you can for each mile you have covered here on this JustGiving page. We would love to raise a minimum of £4,500 – one pound for each mile covered

3. If you love what FBB does and feel you wish to support FBB further, please visit our website and choose to become a monthly supporter: https://www.footballbeyondborders.org/donate/

- saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
